The
Douglas Fir is one of the most popular Christmas tree
species. Our Douglas Fir trees are farm grown on our Northwest
plantations; we never cut our Douglas Fir from the wild.
On the farm, trees are expertly cared for in order to produce
a full dense tree. We then shear the tree to form the eye
pleasing cone shape that has grown so popular over the years.
The needles on our Douglas Fir are dark green or blue green
and about 1 ½ inches long. The branches are slender
and their needles are feathery soft to the touch.
Fun Fact: Oregonians were so impressed with the beauty
of this tree that they made it the Oregon State Tree.
